Driver Qualifications

Corporate Hiring Criteria

 

No driver will pull or operate Raven Transport equipment, unless the below listed criteria is met and the driver is approved by the Fleet Services department.

 

·      Minimum age of 24 years.

·      Minimum of three (3) years tractor-trailer experience within the last 36 months.

·      Must successfully demonstrate driving ability during a company sponsored driving skills test.

·      Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.

·      Background investigation must meet company standards.

·      Capable of meeting all requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

·      Capable of performing all tasks as indicated on the Job Description.

·      Have a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License issued by your State of residence with no restrictions (except eyeglasses), Hazmat Endorsement or capable of obtaining endorsement if required.

·      Not have three (3) or more moving violations in the previous thirty-six (36) months.

·      Not have a combination of three (3) or more accidents and/or moving violations within the past three (3) years.

·      No more than two (2) preventable vehicular accidents in the past three years.

·      No more than one (1) preventable vehicular accident in the past twelve (12) months.

·      No preventable accidents that involved a fatality.

·      Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.

·      No record of “positive” test results from any drug and/or alcohol tests in the previous employment history.

·      No convictions for DWI or DUI in the past 10 years and/or no more than one conviction for DWI or DUI in a lifetime.
